In 1998 the Ensemble Amedeus held a concert for the President of the Maltese Republic in the Presidential Building. The Ensemble Amedeus repertoire spreads from Baroque to Contemporary music. Besides being the only stable quartet of its kind in Italy, it remains the only quartet in the world that includes all the compositions written for this kind of formation in its repertoire. In order to collect the entire existing collection of music written for this kind of Quartet, the Ensemble undertook a bibliographic research using the most important available publications on the topic, thanks to which it was able to come in contact with the worldwide music resourses. After years of research it was able to obtain a detailed and exhaustive perspective of all that has been written from the baroque time until today. With the cooperation of Europe's most important Libraries and with the help of some important publishers, today the Ensemble Amadeus can offer, besides Mozart and Britten's famous quartets, a unique and inedited repertoire of which a great part has never been published let alone taped.dolor sit amet
